Las Vegas has always been a place to take things to the next level. Sometimes, it has even been known to go too far. Some may say thats the case with these dishes. However, we will let you decide for yourself
Golden Opulence Sundae You can find this sundae at Serendipity 3. The dish features ingredients such as Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream, Amedei Porcelana chocolate syrup, candied fruits, gold-covered almonds, chocolate truffles and marzipan cherries. All of this is then topped with edible gold and flowers. Bear in mind, you must provide 24 hour notice if you plan to order this dessert.
Fleur Burger 5000 The Fleur Burger can only be found at the Mandalay Bay. The burger is made from top ingredient like wagyu beef, brioche buns, and the always classy pomme frites. Any extras, and you really start to see the price climb. Add black truffle for $30 and/or foie gras for an additional $35. To wash it all down you can get it with the recommended 1995 bottle of Chateau Petrus which comes with a pair of Brunello glasses. Add all of these, and you can expect to pay near $5000.
$750 Cupcake You may remember this cupcake from an episode of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. He called it a gimmick, but it certainly does pack a lot of expensive ingredients in a small amount of space. The cupcake is made using Tahitian gold vanilla caviar, cognac, gold leaf, Palmira Single Estate chocolate and severed in a fine glass ornament. You can find it at the Palazzo in Sweet Surrender.
$5,000 Five Star A $5,000 drink is quite a stretch for most people, but this is not for most people. The drink debuted at the XS Nightclub at the Encore hotel. The drink was available for a limited time and was created using a blend of Martini Gran Lusso 150th Anniversary Vermouth, Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve 23-year, Louis XIII Rare Cask and D.O.M. Benedictine “Black Monk” 500th Anniversary Edition. In addition, there are the finest bitters blended in with the finest orange oils available.
