How to Make Your Very Own Big Mac at Home

While there’s no doubt about the fact that McDonald’s has blessed the world with some of the most delicious food we’ve ever tasted, the Big Mac will always reign supreme. This is the burger to end all burgers, and there’s something about the way that McDonald’s makes this bad boy that makes us all salivate at the mouth. However, if you can’t make your way to this fast food joint, or if the Golden Arches have run out of this delicious burger, then you don’t need to worry. This is how you can make your very own Big Mac at home.

All About The Sauce

Of course, no Big Mac would be complete without the McDonald’s burger sauce. Although many people believe that it’s impossible to replicate this at home, that just isn’t the case. Burger sauce is really just a combination of mayonnaise, yellow mustard, ketchup, and sweet pickle relish, and then you just need to add a few extras, including garlic powder, vinegar, onion powder, and paprika. Not only will this create the beautiful pink color, but it will also taste exactly like the burger sauce at McDonald’s.

Double Trouble

If you’re looking to make Big Macs for four people in your family, then you’re going to need eight buns and eight patties. It’s best to make these patties with 80% fat beef, and then roll them into balls that weigh around 2 ounces per ball. Once you’ve done this, simply flatten them down and cook them on the griddle. Cook them to your own requirements, and then all that’s left to do is build your burger. While you can add whatever toppings you’d like, a traditional Big Mac comes complete with onions, lettuce, pickles, and some cheese if you want it.

So, why not make your own Big Mac at home? With extra fries, of course…
