New York State’s Initiative to Support Black Travelers

New York State has launched a new campaign aimed at promoting travel and tourism among Black travelers. The initiative, titled "Equal Rights Heritage," seeks to highlight the rich history and cultural significance of Black heritage sites and attractions across the state.

The "Equal Rights Heritage" campaign shines a spotlight on a wide range of Black heritage sites and landmarks throughout New York State. These include historic sites, museums, cultural centers, and landmarks that celebrate the contributions of Black Americans to the state's history and culture. From the Underground Railroad to the Harlem Renaissance, these sites offer visitors a glimpse into the struggles and triumphs of Black Americans throughout history.

In addition to promoting Black heritage sites, the campaign also aims to foster diversity and inclusion within the tourism industry. By highlighting the stories and experiences of Black travelers, the initiative seeks to create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors to New York State. Through partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and community groups, the campaign hopes to amplify the voices of Black travelers and ensure that their experiences are celebrated and valued.
