It’s not every day you see a cop carrying a comrade in his arms as he brings him to safety. It’s photos like this one that really make us appreciate how much law enforcement officers sacrifice on a daily basis and the brotherhood they share.

This Star Wars fan thought he could get away with carrying his blaster around in public without a permit. He learned quickly that he was poorly mistaken when these police officers said to him, “May our excessive use of force be with you.” After roughing the stormtrooper up a bit, these cops searched him from head to toe, patting down his space suit up until they were absolutely positive he was clean and not a danger to those around him.

This citizen was utterly disgusted with the way these law enforcement officers were blocking the road, so he decided to take matters into his own hands. Without any weapons nearby, he needed to use his surroundings to launch a thorough and well-calculated offensive against these riot police. He acted resourcefully and made quick use of a nearby cow to lay down some milk spray cover fire while waiting for his reinforcements to throw cheese and complete the dairy onslaught.

What initially started as a routine traffic stop for a missing tail feather quickly escalated to an all-out police chase when this ostrich refused to pull over to the side of the road for these moped officers. This massive bird is not only a danger to himself but also to everyone in that residential neighborhood. When the cops were finally able to subdue the suspect, they ran a background check only to discover that he was actually violating probation.

This officer found himself in the middle of a high-speed pursuit when one daring and disorderly chicken decided to cause a ruckus on the freeway. After the officer called in for backup, the suspect was apprehended and taken into custody. On his court date, the suspect was acting rather disrespectful and cocky, so the judge gave him the harshest punishment possible. It will be quite a while before this jailbird will see the world outside of a cell.

The look on his face says it all. Ronald McDonald ran out of tricks up his sleeve when the law finally caught up to him on this fateful day. The usually overjoyed clown can be seen in this photo frowning and waving goodbye to his adoring and loyal fans as he is carted away in the back of a police cruiser. Unfortunately for Ronald, there are no ball pits, happy meals, or McFlurries where he will be spending the next few years.

This isn’t the first time this dog has been taken into custody. As a core member of the Ruff Riders, one of the most notorious doggy motorcycle gangs in America, he’s had his fair share of run-ins with the law. While it may seem far-fetched based on his adorable outfit, don’t be fooled. This guy is a hardened criminal and is wanted all across America for engaging in lewd acts with unsuspecting stuffed animals, tampering with fire hydrants, and harassing mailmen.

This cop knows how to bring the funk while getting you to work safely and on time. His killer dance moves can brighten up any commuters’ dreary morning. At any given time, he can bust out into fan favorites such as the Electric Slide, Maccerina, Cotton Eye Joe, the Cupid Shuffle, or even the newest move he’s been working on, the Gangnam Style. A little-known fact, he is also a renowned limbo champion, as demonstrated with his incredible flexibility in this photo.

These law enforcement officers are taking their partnership to the next level and have even taken the time out of their busy weekly schedule of busting perpetrators and eating donuts to learn some new tricks on their shiny new police motorcycle. This particular stunt is called the Two-Cop Torpedo. The donut-eating duo perfected the Torpedo just in time for the annual Parade of Police. It ended up being a crowd favorite and even took home the award for best trick.

This loyal canine won’t leave his partner’s side no matter what. Even when it comes to a trip to the bathroom, these partners are inseparable. There are no words that can describe the deep bond they share. Even when they are off duty, this officer and his dog do everything together. Whether it’s arresting criminals, high-speed car chases, eating, sleeping, watching TV, or taking care of other sorts of business, you’ll rarely see this cop without his best bud.

This cop made a pretty risky move when he got out of his car to pursue this criminal on foot without any backup. He’s clearly a loose cannon cop who doesn’t play by anyone’s rules but his own. Rumor has it. He was a former All-American track star, and we’re certain that his sprinting background came in handy when he needed to apprehend this speedy perpetrator. This massive turtle wasn’t going down without a fight. But eventually, the law prevailed, and he was captured.

Mama Bear’s not going to like the looks of this one. Yet again, Bear Cub needed to be brought home by the police after a long night of raiding local campsites for leftover food and causing mischief. This photo captured the exact moment when this officer dialed the cub’s mother. You can see the look of desperation in the cub’s eyes. The last thing he wants is to be grounded just before the big end of the year field trip.

There’s really nothing more emasculating than needing to stand on the hood of your car in order to check a suspect’s eyes during an in-field sobriety test. However, when the driver you pull over just happens to be the 7’8″ starting center for the Serbian national basketball team, there’s not a lot of other options. Maybe next time, this officer will remember to put his favorite step stool in the trunk of his car before heading out to patrol the freeway.

If police in America thought their jobs were difficult, they really should take a look at this photo of a law enforcement officer from Canada attempting to take down a moose that weighs close to a thousand pounds. The officer must have been a former linebacker in the Canadian Football League because his form his spot-on. Notice how he breaks down with his eyes on his opponent’s hooves, patiently waiting to anticipate his next move. His technique is absolutely flawless.

Let this be a lesson to all those kids who have been saying, “it could never happen to me!” Those children, who think it might be acceptable to get behind the wheel after a few juice-boxes, could something valuable from this photo. Sure, he might only be six years old, and yes technically his vehicle is not a real car. But regardless, the long arm of the law reached this young man, and he’ll never drive under the influence of apple juice again.

Whoever decided on the design for the undercover police cars in this town should be fired as soon as possible. We’re not here to play the blame game, but all signs point to the infamous Carl being responsible for this terribly obvious blunder. There’s no way that any officer has ever had a successful undercover arrest while operating this vehicle. At least Carl remembered to take off the flashing blue and red lights from the roof. But still, Carl, please do better next time.

These cops know how to enforce the law while also saving the environment and looking fantastic in their classy and chic vehicles. Aside from concerns regarding if these officers can hold their own in a high-speed police chase, we can’t help but wonder where the arrested criminals are supposed to sit while they are being brought into the police station.

Anyone who’s ever parked their car illegally, just to run into the post office, grocery store, or gas station for ten minutes, and returned only to see the infamous orange boot locked around the front wheel of their car understands the frustration and anger on this cop’s face. This law enforcement officer came back from his donut run and found that his car had been booted. It turns out that even cops aren’t immune from those pesky parking enforcement officers.

When it comes to speed traps, even police officers understand that drivers simply slow down until they are no longer within range and then proceed to drive normally. After weeks of watching driver after driver get pulled over at this particular intersection, the owner of this sign decided to be a good samaritan and offer a warning of the police presence that lurks behind the sign to the citizens passing through. It truly warms the heart to see strangers looking out for each other.

Young cops need to learn the ropes as fast as possible if they want to make it as successful law enforcement officers. The training is grueling, and once they finish, their work is far from over. Day in and day out, they need to prove that they have what it takes. One could say that life as a police officer is sink or swim. These cops have clearly taken a wrong turn, not only on the road but possibly on their career path as well.

For all those out there who wonder what purpose those orange striped traffic indicators serve, here’s your answer. It turns out that they are not just thrown onto the roads, freeways, and highways to inconvenience drivers and that they are actually useful symbols for where and where not to drive. This police officer decided to put these indicators, which she probably placed on the road, to begin with, to the test and she wound up stuck in some wet concrete.

Beware the Fulton County Poice department. They have been breaking down doors, bringing in suspects for questioning, and have even offered a cash reward to whoever comes forward with information leading to the arrest of the criminal who stole the “L” off of their police car. Whether it was meant to be a threatening gesture, or just a prank, the Fulton County Sherriff has issued a statement letting the public know that they are taking this act of vandalism very seriously.

It’s hard to take a traffic violation ticket seriously when it’s given by an officer who doesn’t even know how to dress himself properly. Maybe this officer woke up on the wrong side of the bed that morning. Or perhaps he was simply in a rush as he put the orange vest on. In either case, we’re just glad that the individual who was being pulled over had the courage to pull out their phones to capture this hilarious wardrobe mishap.

Usually, during training exercises like this one, police officers look pretty cool as they use ropes and harnesses to repel from the side of a building. This cop requested from his buddy to capture a cool photo of him for his Instagram. Little did he know, however, that his friend was about to capture an incredibly embarrassing moment as his belt gave way and his pants ended up around his ankles while he dangled there and all of his comrades laughed hysterically.

Some consider the Flippin Police to be one of the most hardcore police departments in the entire country and for good reason. In just two years they’ve completely transformed their county into a virtually crime-free area. Their use of extreme and sometimes questionable tactics has struck fear into the hearts of any criminal or perpetrator who dares to cross paths with the Flippin Police.

Using satellite navigation can be so frustrating these days. One second you’re taking a shortcut along a beautiful winding mountain road, and you’re making great time on the way to your cousin’s wedding. The next second you discover that your over-trust in technology has backfired and brought you to a road that doesn’t actually exist. You now need to back-track and give up precious hours. You show up in the middle of the ceremony, and your cousin never forgives you. Thanks a lot, Google Maps.

Nothing can ruin a police officer’s day like having to arrest a giant. This unlucky cop probably needed stilts just to pat down this over-sized human. He was then given the challenging task of needing to cram this extra large gentleman into the back of his cop car. While the vehicle may have the word “equipped” written along the left side, we seriously doubt that it was truly equipped to arrest a perpetrator who happened to be bigger than the car itself.

Yet again, Bruce Wayne forgot to renew his license plates on the bat-mobile. On top of his expired plates, Batman also had a tail-light out. This just goes to prove that even if you happen to be a millionaire vigilante superhero and savior of Gotham City, it still doesn’t make you exempt from following basic traffic laws and regulations. The Dark Knight will definitely think again before leaving his mansion to fight crime without double checking his bat-mobile for violations.

This cop chases down criminals the only way he knows how- using his 4-year-old niece’s bike. We know what you’re thinking and don’t worry he always takes the training wheels off before each shift. When he’s not fighting crime, this officer spends his free time playing with his collection of Barbie Dolls, inviting the neighbors over for tea parties with his stuffed animals, and watching Disney’s Frozen on repeat as he sings along to every word of “Let It Go.”

The Mexican police department suffered some pretty serious budget cuts this past year. In addition to replacing all weapons with bananas, they’ve also swapped out tear gas canisters with oranges, handcuffs with silly string, and police dogs with guinea pigs. While it is still too early to say what kind of impact these changes will have on the crime rate in Mexico, experts predict that these changes will certainly have some serious consequences for police departments all across the nation.

His secret has to with not wasting a single minute of the day. Some of his favorite time-saving techniques include shaving and brushing his teeth in the shower, laying out his clothes the night before, working through his lunch break, and, last but not least, driving his car straight into his office to avoid wasting time parking.

As comfortable as that grass looks, we can’t help but wonder if maybe there was a better place for this law enforcement officer to catch a quick power nap. He was so tired, apparently, that he didn’t even have time to prop up his motorcycle along the side of the road. Meanwhile, his partner, rather than bringing him to a bed, decides that now is the perfect opportunity to send their buddies a funny photo of his partner sleeping on the job.

What do Superman, Spiderman and Cat Woman all have in common? A jail cell. These superheroes found themselves in some trouble after the annual Superheroes Ball in Venice Beach. What initially began as a night of laughing, dancing, and mingling between the Marvel and DC colleagues, quickly escalated when Captain America started flirting with Superman’s date. The heroes, along with their posses, decided to settle their differences out back. When the cops showed up, Captain America fled, leaving these three to face the consequences.

Just in case stealing the wheels off of any old car wasn’t risky enough, some daredevil decided to take it to the next level and steal the wheels of a local police car. When your flight’s delayed you need to find the perfect place to make yourself comfortable, which is not the easiest of things. This woman thought outside of the box and was smart enough the maneuver herself under the armrests. You’d have to be a certain size to make this one work!

What is worse than traveling with a child? Traveling with a small baby. They are unpredictable and can cry at any time, and must be lugged around in a stroller. When this mother was asked to take her shoes off by TSA, she had to put her baby down somewhere while she did so. Let’s just hope the baby was not put through the X-ray machine, as that wouldn’t be a good situation for anyone.

At the Nashville International Airport, travelers were in for a treat when they spotted Forrest Gump at the airport. Even the Nike sneakers and haircut resembled the famous film character. While there is no information where he was going or what he was doing, we’d like to think he was traveling to see his own Jenny. In any case, if the Forrest lookalike was about to miss his flight, other passengers could just start shouting “run, Forrest! Run!”

We love a good wordplay and in this case, “songplay”. We couldn’t think of a better “Welcome Home” sign for a baby to greet her daddy with. By the look of Harper’s face, someone seems a bit surprised, and we’re hoping it’s not her father. This sign was a thoughtfully planned out one, and we really appreciate it. Let’s just say, if we’re going to greet someone with a baby, we might steal this idea.

Traveling can be increasingly tiresome, there is just so much you can do in an airport before you start going stir crazy. Unless you’re a child and it’s acceptable to play hide and go seek, the reality is that you will probably be sitting on your phone or laptop for the next few hours before boarding your flight. However, this girl decided to bring back the planking craze of 2010 and take a ride along the luggage conveyer belt.

Sitting on planes for hours on end can really take its toll on your body. Many experts recommend keeping your body moving on a plane and getting your circulation going, through small exercise. However, in many cases, all you want to do is completely stretch out, but there just isn’t the space to do that on a plane. Therefore, this yoga enthusiast took advantage of his time in the airport and decided to go through his routine in public.

Selfies have become all the rage in recent years to the point that it was named Oxford Dictionary’s word of 2013. This woman decided to publicly shame her partner for his narcissistic obsession with constant selfies. He even went so far to get the best gadgets out there for good angles. However, when his girlfriend, Britney, found his selfie stick, it was truly the last straw and she just couldn’t take the embarrassment anymore. Hope you had a good flight, Simon!

We have seen people sleeping in very strange positions in the airport, but this has to be one of the most unusual. Admittedly, it can be very hard to get comfortable in a sleeping position while waiting for you flight, so this man decided to use his suitcase as a back rest and the seat for holding his lower half. It might look very uncomfortable, but he looks to be fast asleep, so maybe it isn’t as bad as it looks?!

Without a back story, this photo is just cruel, discriminative slave-labor, but then when you find out what it is for, you can breathe a sigh of relief and laugh. This photo was taken during the filming of Man Vs. Beast, to figure out if an elephant or 44 little people could pull a airplane quicker. We’re sad that the elephant had no choice but to do it, but of course he was stronger than the humans.

There are plenty of things which are totally understandable to ban from taking on the aircraft for your safety and the safety of everyone else. However, many people began scratching their heads when TSA were the Grinch over the holiday season and banned people from taking snow globes on the plane. The reason was that the liquid might be switched with an explosive chemical. In addition Bangkok banned the Thai and Malaysian native fruit Durians for their bad odor.

Planes can be hotbeds for the distribution of germs and illnesses and for germ-o-phobes, it can be too much to handle. This man was clearly one of those people and in addition, he used every tool possible to block out smells, noise and light. It might look a bit bizarre and we feel for the other passengers sitting next to him as that is an awkward moment when they need to get past him to go to the bathroom.

“Do it for the Insta” is a saying which has people doing crazy things to get more followers and more attention on their social media. This Brazilian pilot, Daniel Centeno has garnered over 70,000 Instagram followers due to his plane selfies that only the most fearless of people would take. This selfie was taken above the famous Palm in Dubai but many questioned the validity of them. It turned out that they were photoshopped and everyone died a little inside.

Nothing is cuter than having your little girl come and welcome you home from the airport. The sheer excitement toddlers get when they are reunited with a parent is heartwarming for anyone to see. When this six-year-old wanted to greet her grandparents at the airport, she insisted on making a sign for them. Despite all of her hard work, the sign was completely illegible, but she looked proud nonetheless. Hey, it’s the thought that counts.

When you leave important documents in the way of your young children, it should be expected they are going to do something to it. This man probably should have hidden away his passport from his kids, who decided to practice their best artwork on it. The man had to go back to the embassy and this kid probably got one big scolding.

Some jobs at the airport can be rather mundane, but there is much room for making them creative and exciting. This baggage handler decided to do exactly that and channel his inner Tetris maestro to create the most incredibly luggage tower in airport history. While we wish that was the honest truth, the reality is that these are art sculptures placed in an airport and molded together carefully. It’s still pretty cool and leaves you thinking how it was made.

There are some signs that you see in airports around the world, but this one is very rare. The sign can be found at St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana Airport in New Zealand, and is genuine in warning travelers to stay away from the runway, which is situated much too close to the parking lot. Not only is this a huge safety hazard, but this also gives New Zealand a bad reputation for their airport safety.

You may not have thought twice about it, but many airports are at risk of wild animals running across the runway which would cause a huge safety incident. Plenty of airports have overcome this issue by creating traps to shoo the animals away from the danger that is all around them, but Cherry Capital Airport in Michigan went for a different method. They decided to hire a Border Collie named Piper who runs around the airport perimeter, chasing animals away and keeping all passengers and airlines safe.

Looking at this picture would have anyone having a panic attack, whether you are afraid of flying or not. This is breaching airline safety on so many levels and an astronomical collision is pretty sure to happen. Luckily, this is just a photoshopped image by photographer Mike Kelley. He named it “Wake Turbulence,” and it depicts all the flights departing from LAX, Los Angeles’ international airport. It was made up of 400 individual images and then doctored together.

While this looks like something out of a movie, it is completely real. Sadly, these Humboldt penguins were threatened by poachers, but through the quick and successful work of penguin conservationists, they were able to transport them back to their native habitat, an island off of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. However, transporting penguins is not as easy as you’d think and the most logical way to travel with them was by taking them on a commercial airline.

The majority of airports would never see such an incredible sight, but for those countries that are used to extreme temperatures and conditions, occurrences like this are more common than you would imagine. This photo was taken at an Alaskan airport and the area is home to plenty of polar bears. Although the beautiful, yet dangerous animals, spend much of their lives in cold waters, when they appear, it seems like they enjoy wandering amongst the planes.

Her face says it all, she did not want to be rushed, and she was so unbothered, she decided to stand in the middle and take no prisoners on her snail pace journey to passport control. Luckily, everyone saw the funny side of the situation, judging by their faces.

Why this nun was asked for extra checks we don’t know, she probably just wants to go on her pilgrimage in peace without any hassle. We hope this was the last of the troubles this nun was put through on her travels.

Lets be honest, the lines in airport bathrooms can be painfully long and extremely inconvenient when you are absolutely desperate to go. This sign in a Chinese airport could not have been more accurate when giving directions as to where the toilets were located. It’s as if they were already letting you know that you need to prepare to cross your legs and wait in very long lines. Maybe invest in more bathrooms rather than making these huge signs?

When you are going on an exciting vacation, there are numerous times that friends and family will ask “can I come in your suitcase?” While this is supposed to be a joke, one man took it very seriously and packed himself into his friends suitcase. Firstly, this looks like a very uncomfortable position, secondly, there is no way he would pass through security and thirdly, he is lucky he didn’t go to jail. Seeing people laying around on the floor in an airport might be slightly bizarre to look at, but it is actually very common. Between flight cancellations and delays, seats in the airport can be hard to come by, so in many cases, you need to improvise. This one looks particularly awkward because the sleeping man is laying in the middle of check-in while others are standing normally around him. Maybe try and find a quiet corner next time?

When your taxi cancels your trip to the airport, everything becomes a panic and you just don’t want to miss your flight. These guys decided to come up with another option when they couldn’t get an Uber, and used a motorbike to transport the traveler and his luggage to the airport. This hilarious idea seems genius in planning but is disastrous in practice. There’s no way that bag made it to the airport in one piece and they probably had to hail a rescue taxi on the highway.

We’re not even sure how this runway was given the green light to be built because is absolutely lethal. The runway is situated in Gibralter international airport and cars are forced to stop at the light while planes are given the go ahead for a safe landing. When the barriers are not down, cars are free to pass through and it incredibly dangerous for everyone in the case a plane needs to do an emergency landing, they have to wait for a free road.

This girl represents everyone’s mood at an airport. While this looks like a complete joke, it was not. How many times have you been in an airport where they have these gimmick stands for shoe shining and walk past it thinking who has the time to sit there and do that, or better yet, who would pay for that? Messenger pigeons were thought to be a thing of the past, but it seems that these sneaky falcons thought up a genius way to make their journey easier and less strenuous by traveling on commercial airline. While that would be a hilarious story, what was actually happening was a Saudi Prince paying for his 80 falcons to travel between the United Arab Emirates. For an average person this would never be permitted, but the Prince used his status to get what he wanted.

This family wanted to think of a hilarious way to welcome the matriarch home in the most embarrassing way possible. As they waited for their mother and wife, they held up signs welcoming her back from prison! Interestingly, these two people were at Seattle airport, just weeks within each other, along with their huge, antique type writers. Not only are they completely impractical to travel with, they probably raised some eyebrows at security. Companies like Apple have come out with lightweight, small, state-of-the-art technology, so can someone please buy these people an iPad?!

We have seen some embarrassing welcome home signs, but this has to be one of the most mortifying. Mokie was in for a shocking surprise when he walked out of the gate. His friends found the most embarrassing photo, choking on some food and decided to blow it up huge and hold it for the whole airport to see. We hope he saw the funny side of it and wasn’t chewing anything as he walked off the flight in the case this face would happen again.

You can’t help but smile when you see a couple getting engaged in public. Anyone who has experienced that moment will remember the shock and overall excitement that comes with being asked to spend you life with the one. This man chose to propose when his partner returned from a trip, straight as she walked out of the gate. Everyone in the background couldn’t contain their excitement for the adorable couple, and most importantly, she said yes!

The vast majority of airports are not dog-friendly, but the small percentage of them that do, make plenty of allowances for man’s best friends. No matter how well-trained your dog is, they have needs just like the rest of us. This San Diego airport decided to assign a special “pet relief” area, so your pet can go about its business in peace and without nasty looks from appalled passengers. Think about it, it’s also a great place to hang around with cute puppies while waiting around.

Taking off from Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow is not the most calming experience, as you are greeted with the remains of Dagestan Airlines Flight 37.
