Getting something delivered to your house can be a convenient and easy process, but when you get a delivery driver like these, the whole ordeal is anything but useful.
We have seen delivery drivers placing packages up in the rafters of porches, but hiding it in a random bush, now that is a new one. This USPS driver obviously couldn’t see a safe enough place to hide the package, so decided that its brown color would be concealed perfectly in a bush. Although it did the trick, the recipient must have got quite the laugh out of the unusual placement of the package, they were forced to get it out of the dirty bush.
Not So Hidden
When the homeowner is not in, the delivery driver will leave the package in a hidden place so nobody takes it. However, this driver didn’t even attempt to hide it when he placed it behind a small urn. Given the fact that the package was double the size, we don’t think it was the smartest of decisions. He should have just left it in full view instead of putting it behind the urn, it would have had the same effect!
We wonder how long it took before this FedEx driver realized that the back of his truck was completely open and all of his deliveries were at risk of falling out. In the picture, the boxes look pretty sturdy, but all it takes is one emergency stop for all of these boxes to come spilling out onto the freeway. This was a serious safety hazard just waiting to happen but let’s hope that someone told him soon after the photo was taken.
This UPS driver was definitely in trouble when he realized that a bunch of packages on his list went undelivered. Instead of leaving them in the depot or forgetting to deliver them, they ended up bouncing around on the freeway! Something must have distracted him when getting back into the van after a delivery, resulting in him leaving the backdoor open on the truck. Those people that were expecting their packages were going to be disappointed.
Playing With Corrosives
If there is one kind of package that really should not be tampered with, it is ones that have a sign saying they contain either hazardous or corrosive materials inside. The delivery driver made a big mistake here, we hope he was ok in the end, but dealing with corrosive materials really is no joke. We can’t help but wonder what person is having corrosive liquids delivered to their house? We hope it was for a legitimate cause…
You Snooze You Lose
Being a mailman means that you have to get up at the crack of dawn to ensure that all the mail is delivered to homes. The job entails a lot of walking in all weather, and it can get extremely exhausting. This mailman was feeling exceptionally tired on this day, so when he saw an opportunity to have a snooze, he took it. He would have got away with it had it not been on a public street!
Taking A Wrong Turn
This FedEx driver was clearly not focusing on his surroundings when he went to deliver a package to this house. Hitting a mailbox or a house sign might be forgiven as the accident was unavoidable, but this takes it to a new level. Maybe the driver had left the hand break off when he went to the house, or even worse he was texting and driving. Either way, calling a whole team of firefighters out is pretty intense.
Sometimes you can understand the logic of delivery drivers when they are determined to get your package to you, but other times there are just no words for what the delivery men have done. It seems that this delivery man saw a bucket sitting on the driveway and decided to hide the package underneath it. What’s more is that the package is not even concealed properly by the bucket. There were probably plenty of other places to put it.
Beware Of The Bear
There are some reasons for not delivering a package which are unacceptable, but this one is totally legitimate. If we saw a bear at the front door, there is no chance we would be getting out of the car to deliver the package, we would hit the accelerator and drive off immediately. You can probably imagine that the person who was due to receive the package was less than thrilled, but at least they know about their uninvited visitor!
If there was a game of Tetris for packages, this delivery man would win. We wonder how long he spent wedging this package into this perfectly fitting space, the only problem there is now is how or if you are able to get it out? The package has instructions not to bend it, so the delivery man certainly fulfilled his job on that part, but the rest we’re not so sure. At least it looks like it is a part of the entrance!
Make It Fit
When a delivery driver is unable to deliver a package, they are forced to fill out a small piece of paper that we are all a little too familiar with. This driver, in particular, was fed up with the paperwork and made it his mission to ensure that the package went inside the mailbox, no matter what. Placing it on the door still counts right? We’re not sure that the receiver was too happy about it though.
Don’t Ring The Doorbell
In some delivery situations, there are cases when the recipient of the package will ask for the doorbell not to be rang. This FedEx driver did way more damage by not ringing the bell as he drove his entire van into their home! We’re positive that FedEx would have been faced with a hefty lawsuit after this. The sight was so shocking that the neighbors couldn’t resist documenting the incident. We do wonder if they got their package though.
Making It To Your Destination
There’s one thing having a problem when you get to your delivery address, there’s another problem getting there with no hassle. This was not the case for these delivery men who had quite the mishap on the highway, and it just so happened to be two FedEx delivery trucks. No doubt there were a lot of angry customers that day, but would you look at that mess? There was no way they were making their deliveries on time that day!
Dog Eat Letter World
Using an explanation like “the dog ate my homework” stopped working years ago when teachers called the bluff and declared it the most overused excuse in the book. However, it seems some things need to seen to be believed, and this particular letter never made it safely to its designated address because of the very same reason mentioned above. Perhaps delivery personnel should be properly trained how to handle dogs so they could refute the stigma that the two don’t mix.
Handle With Care
There is a reason why ‘Fragile’ stickers are placed all around packages. This box, in particular, went far enough to make it even more clear of what was inside. The delivery man did a terrible job in looking after the package. Not even one glass was salvageable, the whole order was completely ruined.
As kids, one of the all-time favorite thing to do before bedtime or on a rainy day was built a fort indoors. It was so easy – just grab a couple of chairs, position them like a tent pole, drag a long sheet above it all and make yourself a cozy corner inside. It seems as though this particular delivery person was not done with this make-believe game just yet, which is why he positioned the boxes in this particular way.
Torn Up About Her Birthday
Sometimes, the post office scans the letters it receives to make sure there is nothing dangerous or potentially harmful inside, whether it is for the people it is intended for or strangers. For an unknown reason, this particular card seemed suspicious to the good people over at the post office, so they cut through it to make sure nothing shady was waiting inside. Disappointingly, this was nothing more than a birthday card and $46 in cash as a present for a grandchild.
Cut The Bull
Minnesota has its fair share of farms, but it that really a reason to drop a package you are meant to deliver in a pile of cow feces? It would seem as though delivery personnel would know they should take extra caution when walking around a farm, as opposed to making their way from one apartment to the next in a huge metropolitan area. We just hope whatever was in that bag did not catch the smell of whatever it was dropped in.
You Can’t Always Get What You Want
It is safe to say that people who order something to be delivered directly to their home are not looking for a challenge. If anything, these people are advocates for comfortable and easy living, which is why they make sure their goods arrive straight at their front door. It seems as though this particular delivery person did not want to make it easy on the people meant to receive the package, so he initiated a little game of hide and seek with them.
This spider looks exactly like the one that bit Peter Parker in Spiderman, so if a delivery person is found responsible for the fact we do not have the Marvel superhero protecting our streets at this very moment, we want there to be consequences! In all seriousness, we feel bad for the poor insect. Sure, it does not seem friendly and we would most likely scream if it was found crawling anywhere near us, but being taped to a package is not a nice way to go.
Worst Nightmare Came True
Twitter user Jessie Lawrence turned to his social media account to express his agony when dealing with a particular UPS delivery person who thought it would be a good idea to position the package ordered from Amazon underneath the apartment’s handle. The platform chosen was proven to be a smart choice, since many users shared the tweet and the user was quickly contacted by UPS and was offered a compensation for everything he had gone through.
Something Smells Funny
Delivery people are instructed to find a lesser obvious spot to place the item delivered if the person the package is addressed to is not home, but surely, there must have been a better place for this package than the street garbage bin. Luckily, this was not trash day, which means a garbage truck did not come by and collect whatever was left in the green bin. But still, having the new item placed with trash was not the brightest idea.
Well Hidden, Sir
When you are a postman and working tirelessly against the clock to ensure that everyone’s packages and parcels are delivered safely, sometimes you need to be creative. Take this guy for example, who was delivering a large parcel to this person’s household when they weren’t at home. In order to give them what they wanted, rather than make them travel all the way to the post office to collect it, the guy “hid” it behind the recipient’s bush. Seems legit.
Bending The Rules
You know what they say: rules are made to be broken. Then you get the delivery that your five-year-old child has been waiting for all this time – Tea Party Rules. Upon receiving their beloved book, they noticed that it had actually been bent. “Does this mean that you can bend the rules, Mom?” the child asked. The mother replied by saying, “Of course not, honey. Now go set up your tea set and we’ll start reading together.”
Is Santa OK?
‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. But when St. Nicholas arrived on the scene, he fell off the roof and injured his spleen. Not to worry though, for Santa was fine. He left a package full of bottles of wine. However, when the family opened the box, they found it replaced with mittens and socks. This marks the end of our new Christmas carol.
Nothing To See Here
Sometimes, using a doormat is great for hiding keys, small letters and other items which can be concealed easily. However, hiding a package of this size is not going to work under this mat. This delivery driver was clearly very lazy and after lifting it to the person’s porch, he didn’t want to move it once again. If anything, the package and the doormat blend in with one another, so it just looks like an extension of the box.
Return To Farmer
Normally when you receive a note from the post office, it is to inform you of a parcel that they failed to deliver to you. It is your job to go to the post office with this note and collect your package. However, this postman decided to use one of his notes for a different purpose; to inform the resident about their misplaced chicken. So hurry up chicken-owner, your hen could be as far as Timbuktu by now!
It can be very irritating when your doorbell doesn’t work. The delivery guy decided to get around their broken doorbell by asking visitors to shout “ding dong” when outside. The delivery man found the note so funny that he decided to take a photo of it.
Accidents often happen, but jumping around on a package seems slightly too intentional. Maybe the delivery guy was having a really rough day and needed to get his frustration out on something? We’re sure that the recipient of the package was appalled to see a huge foot stamp on their box. Let’s just hope that the contents of the box weren’t destroyed and they received their goods in one piece. Perhaps he should rethink his career as a delivery man.
Chris was very excited. After being pen-pals with French student Lucille for the good part of two years, he couldn’t wait to finally receive a package from her. So what exactly had she planned to send him? That’s right folks, a block of your finest Brie cheese from Seine-et-Marne. The only problem was that it took a good week and a half for the cheese to finally arrive on Chris’s doorstep in Portland, Oregon. Dare him to try it?
Whoever designed this box should have probably thought twice about the placement of these handles. Not only has it taken the eye out of one baby, it has also been shoved in the mouth of the other one. The fact it is supposed to be directed at mothers and children is quite funny considering that it is also a bit disturbing. There’s no denying we got a laugh out of this image, but it is also very awkward.
Hole In One
Not only is it important to have your package delivered in one piece, it is also good to make sure it is not covered in dirt. However, this FedEx driver chose to dump this person’s package directly in a dirty, construction hole. Why he didn’t just leave it on the doorstep we’re not sure, it would have been a much better option. The delivery man didn’t even sugarcoat the fact he had left it in the mud hole.
Missing the delivery of one package is a mistake that you can get away with, but destroying the whole delivery truck is a slightly bigger issue. This driver was not familiar with the measurements of his truck and severely misjudged the height, despite there being a sign which stated the exact numbers. Not only did he destroy every package in the truck, he also managed to throw over an entire vehicle. We hope no one else got hurt!
Asking your delivery driver to kindly leave your packages in a concealed, safe place can easily be misinterpreted. However, this attempt is just downright dumb. When the driver endeavored to hide this person’s boxes under this mat, you would think he took a step back to realize how poorly done it was. He decided to help matters he would push the plant pot a little over to the right to conceal them just a little bit more. He shouldn’t quit his day job to be a detective!
You Are WELCOME To Steal
The word “welcome” is one which triggers happy, positive feelings inside someone, and it is especially inviting when it is written on someone’s doormat. However, when would you ever see a doormat which is not flat on the ground in front of the house door? Perhaps when it has been used to hide a delivery! Given the color-contrast on the ground, it is quite clear to passers-by that this mat has only recently been moved from its original place and is hiding something special.
Caught Red Handed
This video taken from CCTV was posted to the internet by the home-owner and went viral. After unloading the large flat screen TV from his vehicle, this delivery driver carefully walked over to this house with it, only to then chuck it over the fence without the tiniest care in the world. Walking away, he made one quick attempt to look back that it had dropped to the floor safe and sound, and he continued on his way.
Delivery drivers don’t have the best reputations and this is exactly the reason why. Mr. and Mrs. Currier went to the effort of printing out a letter, informing their UPS delivery man that they were home and could accept the package. This rude driver thought it would be funny to write out the missed delivery notice and stick it on the couples’ note. We hope he got in trouble for this one, the Currier’s were probably furious at his actions.
It looks like Zach had a very wild night and he lost the ability to maneuver out of bed the day after. He left the UPS driver a large task of essentially banging his door down, purely to deliver his package. We’re slightly concerned at the fact that he wrote he “may” be inside the house, where else could he possibly have ended up?! Let’s hope that the package was delivered in the end, Zach really didn’t need an extra headache.
A Phenomenal Fail
This delivery driver may be feeling less phenomenal than his truck states when he made this turn error. Squashed between two brick walls on this narrow street, the driver realized that the door to house number 29 that he was looking for was just 5 small inches away from his left wing mirror. Attempting to get out his side, then the other, he eventually rolled down his window and passed the package to its rightful owner. Talk about door-to-door service!
We can’t blame the delivery driver for this one, the person at fault is the one who didn’t think through the placing of letters on the van. When it comes to Starbucks, there are millions around the world who can’t function without their daily dose of it, while others shun their mass-produced coffee. Whatever your take on the argument is, it seems kind of backward that Starbucks would do this to their own vans. A big PR problem.
Mind The Mat
Sometimes small letters or packages are left under a doormat if the homeowner is not present. Given the size of this package, we have no idea what would make a delivery driver place the mat on top of the package. If they were trying to conceal it, they failed miserably, but if they were trying to protect it from the rain, that might have worked. We can only hope it was the latter idea, the former is too useless for words.
When you order something off the Internet and give special delivery instruction, you expect the company to follow through with the request you gave. Nicole was kind enough to organize a surprise party for her mother and wanted to be very discreet in planning, given that they lived together. The company messed up big time and printed her entire request on the package, completely destroying the surprise. We hope the party worked out in the end.
When you have had a couple of drinks on a night out, there is no better sentence to hear than “let’s get pizza.” The thought of coming home to a hot, cheesy pizza to soak up all the alcohol is a feeling that no one can say they don’t like. However, in their excitement, these friends didn’t think the order through when they asked for two pizza’s half and half of pepperoni and cheese. The delivery man must have got a laugh out of it.
Bend And Snap
When you need to fit a package in a certain sized box, it can be very frustrating when it doesn’t fit properly. At this point, you are forced to think of other ways to fit the package in the box. However, it is not really logical to bend a package that doesn’t belong to you, seeing as you have no idea what is inside it. Whatever it was, we hope that this person had insurance as this definitely didn’t arrive the way it was supposed to.
Find The Package
Many delivery drivers try to make their jobs as easy as possible, but it seems like this one went for the hard way. Instead of finding a safe place to hide this person’s package on their porch, the FedEx driver chose to hide it in the canopy. We’re curious how long it took for the driver to place it up there so it stuck, and it was definitely a surprise for the homeowner when they came home.
Everyone knows that struggle when you order something online and are eagerly awaiting the package from the moment you press ‘confirm order.’ This person knew that problem way too well and even left a note for the FedEx driver, explaining their critical need for that package. Due to the fact they lived upstairs and the doorbell was broken, they gave advice for the FedEx guy to get their attention. It might have been a little extreme if you ask us.
Imagine going to pick up your package and finding it wedged into a tiny box. Never mind getting it out, how on earth did the mailman get it inside the box? For all we know, that package could have been left there for weeks and months on end, with no plan to get it out. Hopefully, it wasn’t an urgent package as there is no chance they are getting it anytime soon. If all else fails, just pierce it with a knife.
Wrong House, Wrong Woman
It is always annoying when you consistently receive mail that isn’t yours, let alone a person that left your family! This person was fed up with USPS delivering packages for their ex-daughter-in-law and we don’t really blame them. Apparently, they were thrilled that their son made the decision to divorce her, so having anything to do with her is probably not what they wanted. At least they were nice enough to not throw them in the trash.
It is one thing to destroy a package, but it is a whole different story if you’re going to decapitate the family gnome that guards the doorstep. Whether the driver was intimidated by the little guy or he was just completely careless where he dropped the package, we won’t ever know, but we will only assume that the homeowners will be devastated to see the fate of their trusty security guard. RIP gnome, we hope you lived a good life.
What do you do when you can find a safe place outside of someone’s house? Hide it up in the rafters of course! This UPS driver chose to get creative when he left a package, we can only imagine how he managed to push it up there. If it was a one-man effort then good for him. How the homeowners got it down from there is a whole different question. At least he was very clear with the delivery instructions.
Not The Pizza!
There are times when the delivery driver will throw your package onto the doorstep, but one time when you definitely shouldn’t do that is when pizza is at stake. We would be absolutely devastated and furious if our delicious, hot and fresh pizza was destroyed when it ended up at our house. We hope they complained and got it for free, no pizza should be disrespected in such a way and the delivery driver should be reprimanded.
Thinking Outside The Box
If you thought being a delivery person meant working on autopilot while going from one house to another to deliver packages, think again. Sometimes you need to think outside the box, and in this case, thinking outside the box was taken literally. Using the creative side of his brain, this mailman thought a clever way of hiding this package would be to make it fit in with its surrounding. It’s a good thing this isn’t a game of Where’s Waldo, or we would probably lose.
Good Thing Curiosity Didn’t Kill The Dog
If you are going to hide an expensive package somewhere, it should be in a place that others could not detect easily. Sadly, the postman did not think the smiling pooch in the picture was any threat to the package – and we can’t really blame him. After all, this pup looks as harmless as he is adorable. Unluckily for him, the cheeky dog had another thought coming and could not contain its excitement when he spotted a new package in his doghouse.
Being on the job in the summer can be really miserable when people are out barbecuing and enjoying the heat. This DHL driver just wanted to get on in the summer fun and decided to nose dive with his van into a pool. The air conditioning would probably have sufficed for a cool down.
